The Inter-University Computation Center (IUCC) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are bringing AWSome Day 2018 to Israel’s academic community.
The AWSome Day in Academia workshops are led by Tzoori Tamam, an AWS Solution Architect, and cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Amazon Web Services
- AWS fundamental services (IAM, S3, EBS, EC2, VPC, etc.)
- AWS programs for researchers and students in academia
- AWS advanced services for researchers (HPC, Big Data, Machine Learning)
- Options for opening a new account in AWS
- Common use cases for using AWS cloud services
IUCC staff are on hand to covering the “how to” and other practical issues of using cloud services for academic research.
The first two AWSome Day 18 in Academia workshops were at Bar-Ilan University and Haifa University in May. Upcoming workshops:
- May 23, 2018 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- June 10, 2018 at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
- June 17, 2018 at Tel-Aviv University
- June 18, 2018 at Weizmann Institute of Science
