GÉANT is uniquely poised to offer the resources and services to assist NRENs roll out compelling and relevant cloud services and products for users. Because of the unique requirements and operational frameworks of the higher education and research community, provision of cloud IT services must address challenges of trust, security, privacy, legislation, procurement and interoperability. In GÉANT, we work to overcome these challenges in an integrated and coordinated effort to provide scalable and relevant services to the higher education community. Equipped with common strategies, standards-based practices and interoperability, economies of scale brokerage and vendor management and support for technical and mobile integration, GÉANT partners with NRENs to realise the potential of cloud-based ICT and help NRENs offer attractive services to users.

Data Classification Tool

The Data Classification Tool assists decision makers by giving a leaded approach to classify relevant data with respect to security considerations.

Cloud Forum

The Service Adoption Team hosts weekly VC forums for NREN Cloud Service Delivery Managers to discuss and collaborate on rollout strategies, activities and progress. To participate at the Forum, please contact us.
