EUNIS & GÉANT joint online workshop ‘Cloud Management & Security – how to stay in control’ – 26 April 2024

This workshop will take place on 26 April 2024, from 10:00 to 12:30 CEST, and it is jointly organised by GÉANT and EUNIS – the European University Information Systems organisation. Working in the cloud presents enormous advantages for R&E institutions and community members, but it can also pose particular challenges. To start with, the cloud comes at a loss of direct control over specific locations and hardware; it can sometimes mean more complicated and ambiguous ownership and responsibility for services, software and data; as well as dispersed access and usage protocols and security measures. GÉANT announces publication of OCRE 2024 tender for pan-European cloud services procurement

21 March 2024. GÉANT is delighted to announce the publication of the OCRE 2024 Tender for the large-scale procurement of commercial cloud services offerings for its pan-European Research and Education community. The tender aims to procure the OCRE 2024 Cloud framework agreements – the third iteration of GÉANT’s flagship cloud frameworks that since 2016 have enabled easy, convenient, and compliant consumption of commercial cloud services for R&E institutions across Europe.
